CNG Fleet Conversion
In 2004, Rogue Disposal & Recycling created a plan to convert its fleet of trucks to operate on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Today, 22 of the company’s trucks have been converted, with another 14 on track to be completed by 2023.
CNG-powered refuse collection vehicles run much quieter and cleaner than their predecessor diesel trucks. Converting the trucks to use CNG as their fuel helps reduce particulate emissions. The environmental impact from the cleaner emissions of the current 22 converted trucks is equivalent to nearly 82 vehicles.
