The wheel wash is similar to an automated, high-pressure car wash that cleans dust, dirt and mud from the undercarriage of all trucks leaving the landfill. We received funding assistance from the Business Energy Tax Credits (BETC) program to install the system.

The wheel wash reduces the amount of mud that trucks track out of the landfill and throughout the area. By doing so, it reduces particulate emissions from dust when dry conditions exist.
