Bringing Community Heros Together at the Children's Museum

Hero Day returned to the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon this spring, giving families an opportunity to meet the everyday heroes who help keep the Rogue Valley safe and running smoothly. Held at the museum and nearby Alba Park, the event invited children to explore emergency vehicles, ask questions, and learn more about the important work being done in their community.

Rogue Disposal & Recycling was happy to participate alongside local first responders and community partners. Kids and families enjoyed getting an up-close look at a Rogue collection truck while meeting the team members behind the wheel. Events like Hero Day offer a meaningful way to connect with the community, highlight essential services, and inspire the next generation.

Hero Day continues to be a popular annual event, reinforcing the Children’s Museum’s mission of learning through play while celebrating the many organizations that serve Southern Oregon every day.
